Weekend birthday party 2: Kennedy

September 30, 2012

Once upon a time, a princess and her little magic dragon got invited to the birthday party of the beautiful Princess Kennedy.

The princesses ate cupcakes.

Got fairy wings.

And spent most of the afternoon in the bouncy castle.

Meanwhile the little dragon had to build his own castle.

Slay the knight.

And managed to get only a finger tip on one of those cupcakes.

Weekend birthday party 1: Luke

September 29, 2012

‘Tis the weekend for third birthday parties.

Luke’s party was at Pump It Up.

What a great choice of location!

Bouncy castles rock.

Rafa was cheering me on… I think he would have liked to be in the bouncy castle too.

But he had lots of fun playing with a balloon.

Telling Papi all about the highlight of my week

September 28, 2012

Papi returned from his work trip today and so we sat down and caught up on things.  I told him about the highlight of my week.

I got new underwears.

They’re Kitty Cat underwears, see.

I have no idea how the conversation went from there to here.  It must be Friday night.

You know it’s autumn when…

September 27, 2012

The carving pumpkins are on sale at the supermarket.

and we’re stocking up on vitamin D.

We need our jackets and beanies when we go outside in the mornings.

and the most curious thing I’ve ever seen… the leaves outside my bedroom are turning red and falling to the ground.

Leotards, tutus and tights

September 25, 2012

It’s my first official ballet class today.  Mum has found it difficult to get me a leotard that is plain, long sleeved and in my size.  She bought me a leotard and skirt in the weekend but says we should return it because she thinks it’s too big.

I love it!  There’s no problem here.

It’s not too big. It’s perfect!  Twirl, twirl, twirl.

We don’t need to return it. I love dancing in it.  Step, kick.

I’m never taking it off. In fact, I’m planning on sleeping in it tonight.  Grand plie and leap!

But then Mum suggested we roll up the sleeves on the leotard and I wear some tights instead of the skirt.

OK. This works. I’m ready!

Spots and stripes

September 24, 2012

Ana thinks stripes are on trend this season.  I’m not so sure.

But we both agree on spots.

And they are a great discussion point.  (point… get it? Ha ha!)

Facetime stories

September 23, 2012

Papi travels a lot for his work and his schedule has been particularly crazy this month.  He got home from one trip on Friday night and had to leave for his next trip Sunday morning.  We can still share stories at bed time though.

Tonight I told Papi all about the Christmas trees and Frosty the snowman that we saw at Costco today.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

September 22, 2012

We went to our very first neighbourhood ice cream party this afternoon.  The hosts provided the ice cream and the rest of the neighbourhood brought toppings.

We took fruit as our contribution to the toppings. Mum is so predictable.

It was a beautiful day and there was a good turn out.

Mmmm. THIS is why there was such a good turn out. I don’t understand why we don’t eat ice cream more often. It’s really good.

I even made a new friend. I liked her bike.

On the cycle home I let out a big sigh and announced.  “I’ve had a good day.  I like ice cream parties”

8 month birthdays are worth celebrating

September 21, 2012

8 months today!

Mum says that one day I won’t want to celebrate every time I get another month older, but at 8 months I’m celebrating.  Here’s 8 things about me at 8 months.

1.  I’m super curious.  Always inspecting, watching, touching and reaching out for things.  My reach is pretty long these days too!

2.  I’m very easily distracted.  Especially when Mum is trying to feed me and I can’t stop checking everything out!

3.  I’m very social and love meeting people.  I’m very chatty with them too.

4.  I’m a pretty relaxed guy.  Even when Ana is pulling me around.

5.  I think sleeping is overrated.

6.  I love meat.

7.  I wear 12 month sized clothing.

8.  Mum and Papi are super cool, but my sister Ana, is the STILL coolest person in the whole wide world.

And because it’s my 8 month birthday, here’s another video.  Starring me.  Of course.
