Halloween is fun when you’re a witch

October 31, 2012

Halloween morning started with me packing carrot snack packs into my Halloween bucket to take to the office party.

After a morning filled with Halloween activities and party games we had a big costume parade at the office. It was Rafa’s first parade.

But I’m more experienced at these things.  Mum could see me coming from the tip of my pointy hat poking out above the crowd.

Then off trick or treating, which I’ve decided is the coolest thing in the world.

I met so many nice people who all gave me a treat!

And I met Dave. He’s apparently an ex-husband.

Handing out treats at our house was just as fun.

Happy Halloween!  By the friendly witch.

I wish I had a motorbike

October 30, 2012

I’ve loved motorbikes ever since my first ride on Papi’s Street Triple.

Nothing a bit of imagination, a block bucket helmet, a rocking horse bike and a lot of vroom vroom noises can’t fix.

Notice Lucy and I are riding two up!

Chain Letter

October 29, 2012

I’ve made it into page 8 of a major publication.  “The Chain Letter” is the newsletter of the Cycle Touring Association of WA.  I wonder if I’ll get recognised the next time I’m in Perth?  The link to the newsletter is here.

Cariboo

October 28, 2012

I’m kind of starting to dig wet Sunday afternoons especially when we Cariboo the day away.

Before the game starts we have to hide the balls under the board pieces by putting them into the secret tunnels. Rafa was good at this part.

Then the game begins.  Papi picked up a square card so we had to find a picture with a square in it.  There are colours, letters and numbers to find too.

When we match a card to a board piece we use the special key to open up the doors and check to see if there is a ball inside for us to collect.

Rafa would clap and cheer every time we found a ball.

But then we got a little stuck trying to match some of the cards and pieces.

Until we worked out that we were trying to match beginners cards with advanced board pieces.

The game ends when collectively we’ve found all the balls and as the last one gets dropped into the pool the treasure chest opens. What a great game!

Big feet

Papi hasn’t had much luck finding shoes in his size recently… but we found some!

An All Black for the day

October 26, 2012

It was Sports Team Day at the office for today’s Friday Fun Day.

Amongst the Oregon Beavers and Ducks and Portland Timbers was a little All Black.

There are no prizes for guessing who came up with my outfit!

Last night Mum was trying to school me on some handy facts to tell everyone at my office about my team.  I practiced them again this morning to make sure I remembered everything right, “I’m black everywhere because I want a kiwi”.  Mum and Papi laughed so I’m sure I got it right.

My big win is Mum’s big win

October 25, 2012

For the first time in my life I won a prize! I’m now the proud BFF of a blanket doll from Three Little Muses.

He has a long pointy hat.

And big pointy feet.

There was competition for him at bed time, but he choose to sleep in my bed and it was the very first night that I’ve slept all the way through the night. Now Mum thinks she’s the winner.

We’ve named him Sleepy Head.  You can find your own Sleepy Head and other gorgeous dolls at Three Little Muses on Facebook and Etsy.  (Sleeping results may vary!)

An update on Lucy

October 24, 2012

Thank you all for your well wishes for Lucy yesterday.  As you can see she is feeling much better.

She was even up to band practice tonight.

Lucy’s medical emergency

October 23, 2012

Lucy broke her neck so she needed to go to hospital.

I held her hand whilst Dr Mum stitched her up.

She’s expected to make a full recovery.

Breaking News

October 22, 2012

Well, breaking up with the news might be more accurate.  Overnight we’ve gone from 1,000 tv channels to none.  By choice.  We’ve dumped cable tv.

I prefer a good book anyway.
