Babies

February 28, 2013
Oh look, babies!

Oh look, babies!

I know! I'll give one to Raffy!

I reckon I got 90% in my belly!

I reckon 90% made it in!

Mum’s bad taste in music

February 26, 2013

Mum says she doesn’t understand our musical creations.  Clearly when it comes to music she just has bad taste.

Dinner and entertainment

February 25, 2013

I went to watch Ana’s gymnastics class today – and because it was right over my dinner time, Mum brought my dinner to the gym for me.

Both the carrots and the chick peas were a good idea - until they got spilt all over the floor.

I had trouble keeping the carrots and the chick peas in the little containers.  Mum gets an A for effort and 5/10 for execution.

The banana looked promising.

The banana looked promising.

Isn't this thing meant to be peeled or something?

Isn’t this thing meant to be peeled or something?  Mum, that’s a B for effort and 7/10 for execution.

Then Mum did what any self respecting Mum should do when feeding kids on the go, and brought out the pre pack stuff.

Then Mum did what any self respecting Mum should do when feeding kids on the go, and brought out the pre pack stuff.  C for effort but 10/10 on all other accounts.

Phroah! And that's entertainment, right there.

Phwoar! And that’s the entertainment, right there.

Up early, or as Rafa and I like to call it, payback time

February 24, 2013

Mum was so proud of herself last night – BOTH Rafa and I were fast asleep by 6:45pm.  (A long session at Munchkin Playland might have had something to do with that).

Lucy and I went into Mum's bed at 5am trying to convince her it was time for breakfast. She did her best to ignore us.

At 5am Lucy and I were on top of Mum, trying to convince her it was time for breakfast.  She did her best to ignore us.

But once Rafa was up at 6am, ignoring us became impossible.

But once Rafa was up at 6am, ignoring all of us became impossible.

Good Morning everybody!

Plain black dress shoes

February 23, 2013

Mum, Rafa and I went on a shoe shopping expedition today.  The goal was to get some plain, black dress shoes for me.

Although Mum and I were having some difficulty agreeing on the definition of "plain, black dress shoes"

Mum and I were having some difficulty agreeing on the definition of “plain, black dress shoes”

Mum said that there were hardly any choice. I don't know what she was on about, there were Hello Kitty, Dora, Princess Shoes, Glitter tops - all in boots, sandals and shoes of different styles.

Mum said that there was hardly any choice. I don’t know what she was on about, the range was AMAZING!  Hello Kitty, Dora, Princess Shoes, Glitter tops – boots, sandals, lace ups, velcro and lots of different styles.

Rafa found some black dress shoes but they were way to big for me.

Rafa found some boring black shoes that Mum liked, but they were way to big for me.  Phew!

Anyway, I'm thrilled with my new plain black dress shoes. They have Tinkerbelle on the side (my new best friend) and they even light up when I jump! Papi is going to be thrilled when he sees these.

So this is what we got.  I’m thrilled with them. They have Tinkerbell on the side (my new best friend) and they even light up when I jump! I can’t wait to show Papi my new dress shoes.

I won!…. sort of

February 22, 2013

It’s Friday night and I’m not tired!!  I convinced Mum and Papi to let me stay up a little longer and read in my play room.  Ha!  I won that negotiation.

I was just inspecting the inside of my eyelids.

In my own kind of way.

Exploring new frontiers

February 21, 2013
Now that I've worked out this moving yourself thing I realised it brings some freedoms

It’s only been recently that I’ve fully understood the fun being able to move oneself provides.

Such as my sister's bedroom (when she's busy hogging the bathroom)

Like ransacking Ana’s bedroom when she’s busy prancing around in front of the bathroom mirror in her Dora gown and Princess slippers.

She's not as enthusiastic about my exploring as I am.

Ana, however, does not share my enthusiasm for explorations that involve the vicinity of her bedroom.

Man, did I get an ear full!

Man, did I get an earful!

Reading ‘The Alphabet Book’ on letter T

Me:  Hey, that computer is missing something… it’s missing the pictures!

Mum:  That’s because it’s a typewriter.  T is for “turtle at typewriter”.

Me:  Oh, I know how to fix it.  It needs batteries.

Reading ‘The Alphabet Book’ on letter W

Me:  Why is the walrus wearing a wig?

Mum: Because he’s bald.  It looks a bit funny doesn’t it?

Me: Yeah.  I don’t think Rafa should wear a wig.

Out at lunch

Me:  Papi, can I please have some more fries?

Papi:  Just one more, here.

Me:  Hey, I’ve got an idea.  Why don’t we put them in the middle so we can share them?

Snuggled in bed with Mum in the morning

Me:  Mum, why do you call Papi, “baby”.  He’s not a baby.

Mum:  It’s a term of endearment.

Me:  Then why do you call Rafa baby?
