The car that didn’t want to get off the truck

We expected our mini van to be delivered early this morning, except that it didn’t want to get off the truck.  We had to get a guy to come and jump start it and that took most of the morning.

Then we had to take it for a spin to get the battery charged again. It's nice to be back in our own seats.

All of our other stuff on the truck is now going into storage until we have the keys to our new home.  I’m so excited about seeing my toys and books again.

Oops. Poor car. Hope it feels better. And it’s so nice rediscovering old treasures

Nothing like having your familiar things around you. xx

Ana, did Papi happen to say how he thought the battery had gone flat in such a short period of time? If you find out, please let us know.

    • Ana Says:

Nope. The relocation company said that it’s just because it hasn’t been driven in a week but we don’t know if a light was left on or something that we just weren’t told about.

My cars have been left for a month at a time and been OK. Either a light was left on or possibly there is a residual leak that is much higher than expected – or the battery is near the end of its useful life, was unable to cope with the small draw from things like the clock and needs to be replaced.

Darn old electrons just leak out and they are so darn small you just can’t see the little critters going!
