February 28, 2014Happy surprises all around

Rafa got a Hawaiian surf truck that was just like Papi’s Dad’s truck, but without the surf board, and a ball that is a globe.

Papi bought Mum another mask for the collection (and this one isn’t broken!) and a pretty hair clip a bit like mine.

And THEN he pulled out all the conference goodies. A monster and a bear. More balls and a super cool hard hat flash light that is very handy for me so I can see in the dark. Raffy and I went to bed very happy with our arms full of goodies. All of which, of course, had to all fit in our beds with us.
A surprise for Papi
February 26, 2014We’ve been working very hard all week on a surprise for Papi.
He’s going to be home soon. We were going to show you what he thought of it on this post but it’s already getting late so you’ll have to wait for tomorrow to see his reaction. We hope he likes it!

We especially like the guys that walk on the roofs and how they pass bricks at each other (by throwing them long distances)! There are regularly tractors and diggers and other fun vehicles hanging around and today we saw a big truck carrying a load of piled up, neatly cut squares of dirt and grass!

February 22, 2014Patriotic recital
February 21, 2014Today I performed in my first American patriotic recital. I had two lines: “We learnt a traditional American song,” (to which we all broke out into song with “Yankee Doodle”). Then at the end I declared “We live in the greatest land of all!” Mum came up to watch the show and filmed it but I can’t show you the clip because posting the footage with my colleagues clearly in it would be breaking the social media rules. But Mum reckons I said both lines perfectly with a BIG loud voice, somewhat of an improvement on last night’s practice:
