Mum thinks this is lazy parenting

But I think giving us the iPad and a bowl of popcorn for a Friday night treat is just plain awesome.

I got a key chain with an "A" for Ana on it and these pretty flower hair clips.

And Rafa got a truck with a surf board on top (That was just like Papi's Dad's old truck, but without the surf board) and a ball that is a globe.

Papi bought Mum another mask for the collection (and this one isn't broken!) and a pretty hair clip a bit like mine.

And THEN he pulled out all the conference goodies. Monsters and a bear. More balls and a super cool hard hat flash light that is very handy for me so I can see in the dark. Raffy and I went to bed with all our goodies. Which of course, had to all fit in our beds with us.

A surprise for Papi

February 26, 2014

We’ve been working very hard all week on a surprise for Papi.

We started it on Saturday morning.

We started the project on Saturday morning.

And worked on it some more on Sunday.

And worked on it more on Sunday.

Mum helped me out when Rafa was asleep.

Mum helped me when Rafa was napping.

We worked on it on Monday after school.

We did some more on Monday night, staying up an extra 15 minutes after bed time.

And I put the finishing touches on last night. I hope he likes it!

I put the finishing touches on last night and Mum helped me put it up on the wall.

He’s going to be home soon.  We were going to show you what he thought of it on this post but it’s already getting late so you’ll have to wait for tomorrow to see his reaction.  We hope he likes it!

Purple is the new pink

Lucy and I have been using a pillow case that doesn't even cover the pillow.

And an old cot sheet that doesn't even reach the end of my bed.

But not any longer! Mum bought me new sheets, and in my new favourite colour.

Doesn't it look nice?

And it's very comfy too.

Proof that it’s very comfy too!  Good night sleep tight everyone!

Construction monitoring

February 24, 2014
We enjoy regular monitoring of the construction areas in our neighbourhood.

We especially like the guys that walk on the roofs and how they pass bricks at each other (by throwing!). There are regularly tractors, trucks and diggers and today we saw a truck carrying a load of piled up grass squares!

There are regularly tractors and diggers and other fun vehicles hanging around and today we saw a big truck carrying a load of piled up, neatly cut squares of dirt and grass!

Okay I'm ready for work. Where do you want me?

Going on a bear hunt

February 23, 2014
We're going on a bear hunt.

What a beautiful day.

We're not scared!

Through the long wavy grass.

Over the rocks.

Scaling the big rocks.

Stopping for a bite to eat.

We wish…

Ready to make a wish at La Centerra.

That wish kind of went quickly. I think we need another penny.

Patriotic recital

February 21, 2014

Today I performed in my first American patriotic recital.  I had two lines: “We learnt a traditional American song,” (to which we all broke out into song with “Yankee Doodle”).  Then at the end I declared “We live in the greatest land of all!”  Mum came up to watch the show and filmed it but  I can’t show you the clip because posting the footage with my colleagues clearly in it would be breaking the social media rules.  But Mum reckons I said both lines perfectly with a BIG loud voice, somewhat of an improvement on last night’s practice:
