The lake walk

There’s a series of neighbourhood lakes to explore and today was the first chance we got to stroll around the one that backs our street.

We wanted to spot an alligator, but we only saw birds whilst Mum and Papi checked out everyone's outdoor kitchens and patio furniture.

Sounds lovely! Should be a good spot in summer.

If I come and visit you and spot an alligator I will be making fast tracks back to your house and locking myself in! Perhaps I’ll keep firmly focused on the outdoor kitchens – and cooking smells.

Hey Rafa, When I see you and we go looking for ‘gators, I will be able to tell you about wrestling with salt water crocs (we called them salties) in the Northern Territory. Crickey – that’s a good story!

Better than falling over on ice in Portland. Am over the snow now.

I’m not surprised! When we first saw there was a good dumping in Portland we were a bit jealous that we weren’t there to make a decent snow man and have a proper snow ball fight (something we didn’t get to do in the small snow falls we had when we were there)… but now that it hasn’t seemed to stop we’re thinking maybe it’s good we’re not there. You can always come and visit!
