Locked out

So we had just walked out of the house to go to the Greek Festival, when, we realised the house was already secure and none of us had the keys.

Apparently our builder used "smart locks". They can't be forced open with a credit card or screw driver (we tried) or professionally picked, or forced open with air bags (the lock smith tried). Kind of comforting except for when you're paying for the lock to be professionally busted and repaired. On a Sunday.

Apparently our builder used “smart locks”. They can’t be forced open with a credit card, screw driver or another key (we tried, and so did our neighbours) or professionally picked, or forced open with air bags (the lock smith tried). That’s all kind of comforting except for when you’re paying for the lock to be professionally busted and replaced. On a Sunday.

So we missed the festival but we did have the pleasure of spending the afternoon with AWESOME neighbours. Rafa was getting hot and he had a personal fan installed.

I was looking bored (and perhaps a little grumpy) but I was rescued by neighbours to our right who had the best playroom ever (I didn’t want to leave, and made a run for it, with Rafa in tow, when Mum and Papi came to collect me).

And then Papi suggested we go out for frozen yoghurt. Greek Festival? What Greek Festival?

Yes, it’s now on Mum’s to do list. I hope she gets to it before “next time” or then she’ll REALLY be kicking herself.
