Chuck E Cheese’s

Mum had a picnic planned for today.  She’d chosen a new park with a kid’s playground and had planned the menu.  But she forgot to organise the weather.  We woke to dark, thick clouds.  The temperature has dropped to 79F (26C) which feels quite chilly so we decided to go to an indoor venue instead.  I was THRILLED when I saw the Chuck E Cheese’s mouse on Mum’s computer screen but there was something funny about the mouse that greeted us at the door.  I’m sure it was just a person dressed up as a mouse.  Mum said I might be right about that.  Perhaps Mr Cheese was busy today.

If you don't know, Chuck E Cheese's is an indoor arcade and fun park.

So, if you don’t know, Chuck E Cheese’s is an indoor arcade and fun park (Mum says she actually remembers going to one of Mr Cheese’s restaurants in San Antonio when she was a little girl so they must have been around a really long time).

We started off in the junior section.

Mum and Papi could see the fun we were having from a screen above the ride.

The KenChuckE Darby was a favourite. We spent lots of our tokens on that one.

Anyway, with each game of skill, you win tickets.

Okay, so not every game. Some of them were really hard.

We won over 50 tickets!

And exchanged them for Check E Cheese's whistles! So it's okay we didn't get to go on our picnic.

Wondered if your Mum had remembered Chuck-E-Cheese from San Antonio – she was only 6 years old at the time. It was a lot of fun then, too.

Your Auntie VJ thought the best thing about Chuck E Cheese was the chickpeas! Do they still have a smorgasbord?
