Tonight was the big science fair at school! In my class room we learnt all about how to look after the Earth.

Rafa's class was all about outer space.

And we made constellations out of pretzel sticks and marshmallows. I named my constellation "Ice Crystal" Rafa couldn't have the pretzel sticks so his constellation was aptly named "marshmallows"

Rafa's favourite class was the fossils room.

Not because we got to dig up fossils.

And not because we got to make our own fossils.

But because we could have a cup of sediment pudding!

If that wasn't messy enough you should have seen us at the slime table!

We learnt about how plants like water and sunlight (and don't do too well when they've been given salt water or no water at all)

And about light and rainbows.

We leant about light bending into rainbows.

We made waves to erode sand.

We loved the demonstration about why we shouldn't swim in water when there's lightening.

And why we shouldn't rub balloons on our head.

Wow – what an amazing day you’ve had – and what amazing teachers you must have, going to so much work to make the day. Very impressed!! I want to go to science day and dig fossils and play with slime, too!

So what’s going to be left for you to learn when you go to college?

Hi Rafa, I could have made a marshmallow constellation – but I ate all the marshmallows. Can you believe that? A whole bag full – by myself – in about 5 minutes flat! Pink ones first, because I like the white ones best.
