A bit of rain

We had a bit of rain in Houston last night

In fact, even walking around our neighbourhood was out

In fact, even walking around our neighbourhood was a no go (there are alligators and snakes in there!)

So we've been home all day

So we’ve been home all day, playing ninjas, rocket ships, puss and boots and jungle explorers.

Isn’t mum lucky having you guys home for an extra day!? It sounds like you’ve moved somewhere very similar to Brisbane with sudden flooding rains. We just don’t have the alligators. We do have bull sharks tho.

Especially the day after Memorial Day! So lucky now to have a three day week. Good thing Mum and Papi aren’t busy (Mum edit: cough, cough)

At least your sticks made it inside – just the job for ninjas and puss in boots.

    • Ana Says:

Well at the moment we’re arguing over if the balloon stick is a microphone or a sword (it has also been a wand and a fly swat today)

Think that I will just stay here in New Zealand. We can get a bit of rain from time-to-time but there are no alligators or snakes. Hope that you are all OK.

You even made it to the news in NZ!

Some rain – and you’ve had the reaction from all of us in this part of the world on the wild life lurking in the waters. I see Diana has forwarded a link to the Herald. Houston was on the breakfast news here with photos and saying half the city is under water. Total in Texas 12 dead and 40 missing. Just awful. But at least there are not 19 stories, no lift and someone saying that she couldn’t understand the problem as she was carried up and down the stairs.
