Mum and I have just got back from library night.

There was a great presentation by Kathi Appelt, author of True Blue Scouts of Sugar Man Swamp. She talked about the process of writing the story and how she became a writer.

It began with a great presentation by Kathi Appelt, author of True Blue Scouts of Sugar Man Swamp. She talked about the process of writing the story (she starts with a place first) and how she became a writer (her first grade teacher, Mrs Bell, was a major part of that!)
