MLK day at Papi’s office

January 18, 2016

I had an awesome day hanging out at Papi’s office for our MLK day holiday. He helped me with some homework and I did my sticker book. We went to lunch together and then we went to visit his office neighbour (a beauty supplies place). I admired this beautiful hair accessories set and he gave it to me!

We made glow in the dark goo, coloured snow and the best bet was making an explosion that hit the ceiling!!

We got to bring the goo and snow home… but sadly all explosive substances had to remain in the lab.

We were at Ruggles Green (and loved it!).

PS. Mum had an Atlantic salmon salad and Papi had a chicken curry salad.

Tell people all about manuka honey: how it's made, where it's from and why it's such amazing honey.

I told people all about manuka honey: how it’s made, where it’s from and why it’s such amazing honey.  I was also in charge of handing out the brochures.

I also took lots of product shots with Mum's camera.

An added bonus for Mum, I was the self appointed  product shot photographer for the day.

Lots of people really liked the honey. Of course!

The Galleria and a look back at 4 years of blogging

March 9, 2014

The clock had to spring forward an hour today but sadly, spring herself is yet to arrive.

So we headed into the Galleria to peer through the windows of Gucci, Prada, Jimmy Choo, Chanel, Luis Vuiton, Versace, Bvulgari, Burberry, De Beers and Tiffany's, to name a few.

So we headed into the Galleria Mall in uptown Houston to peer through the windows of Gucci, Prada, Jimmy Choo, Chanel, Luis Vuiton, Versace, Bvulgari, Burberry, De Beers and Tiffany’s, to name a few of the shops we weren’t allowed to enter.

We stumbled upon a rainforest downstairs where we had lunch.

We stumbled upon a rainforest downstairs where we had lunch.  We were most welcome there.

All the animals in the rainforest were very friendly. We were welcomed by a snake and a monkey kept swinging on the vines over our table.

All the animals in the rainforest were very friendly. Especially the monkey that liked to swing on the vines above our table every 15 minutes.

After lunch we watched the ice skaters. I wanted to have a go but one of my parents didn't want to get on the ice. We'll have to wait until we can convince another adult to come with us.

Today is also my blog’s fourth birthday.  This is what we were up to on March 9th 2013 when the sun came out, briefly, in Portland.  March 9th 2012, the day Abuela returned to New Zealand after she visited us when Rafa was sick in hospital.  March 9th 2011, when we still lived in Brisbane and my very first post ever, March 9th 2010.
