Our neighbour’s secret

October 26, 2011

A favourite pastime of mine is to go hunting for Meow at the back of our house when I get home from the office.  I didn’t find Meow today, but I did find our neighbour Jim in the garden and discovered he has a secret pastime…

If you listen carefully you can hear me sing along!

It even has my favourite animal in it.

Lunch for the birds

August 6, 2011

Mum and I decided to invite the birds for a backyard picnic lunch.  We haven’t ever had the birds here before so Mum and I were very busy this morning with the preparations.

Buying food for them was fun because dogs and cats worked at the store!

Then we got to work making a place for them to eat. We got an empty milk bottle to cut into a feeder and some stuff from the garden to make it look nice.

Mum cut out the front and hanging the treat from the lid was easy. The glue didn't work very well for the roof so we used double sided stick tape instead.

We set the food outside just before lunch. There was seed in the bottom and a little platform for them to sit on. We even found a feather in the garden for decoration which I thought was a nice touch.

We waited and waited but the birds didn’t turn up.  Mum and I picnicked by ourselves.  We wonder if Meow had anything to do with discouraging our guests.

A game of cat and Ana

July 27, 2011

I could hear Meow in the garden.

And then I could see Meow in the garden.

Meow scuttled under a bush

and I crawled after her.

She went down the alley... and I chased after her. I was gaining on her.

Back up the alley... and I ran after her as fast as I could. I was very close behind now.

Up a giant tree.  I had no chance.  Mum declared Meow the winner of that game and we went inside for dinner.

New ears

July 11, 2011

I’ve been given new ears.  They go on my bike helmet so I can look just like Meow when we’re out cycling.

I rolled my eyes up as far as they would go trying to check out how they looked.

The reflection in the tv worked much better.

They look great! I can't wait to show them off to Meow.
