Mismatched

December 14, 2012
It's only a friday fun day that I would wear such a combination.

Check out my outfit for this Friday fun day (mismatched theme).

A pigtail to the left and a plait to my right.  A sundress over my Nike top.   Heart shorts over spotty stockings.  One striped and one Dora sock.  One converse shoe and one boot.  Yep, I’m mismatched alright.  And I like it!

Halloween is fun when you’re a witch

October 31, 2012

Halloween morning started with me packing carrot snack packs into my Halloween bucket to take to the office party.

After a morning filled with Halloween activities and party games we had a big costume parade at the office. It was Rafa’s first parade.

But I’m more experienced at these things.  Mum could see me coming from the tip of my pointy hat poking out above the crowd.

Then off trick or treating, which I’ve decided is the coolest thing in the world.

I met so many nice people who all gave me a treat!

And I met Dave. He’s apparently an ex-husband.

Handing out treats at our house was just as fun.

Happy Halloween!  By the friendly witch.

An All Black for the day

October 26, 2012

It was Sports Team Day at the office for today’s Friday Fun Day.

Amongst the Oregon Beavers and Ducks and Portland Timbers was a little All Black.

There are no prizes for guessing who came up with my outfit!

Last night Mum was trying to school me on some handy facts to tell everyone at my office about my team.  I practiced them again this morning to make sure I remembered everything right, “I’m black everywhere because I want a kiwi”.  Mum and Papi laughed so I’m sure I got it right.

Hat day

October 12, 2012

Today is hat day. I matched a dress and spotty tights to my hat, pulled on my boots and off I went.

At dinner tonight I thought Rafa might be a bit jealous about missing out on hat day since Friday is one of the days he doesn’t come to the office, so I leant him my hat.

He wasn’t interested in wearing it AT ALL, but our little engineer spent over half an hour investigating how it worked. (Sigh) he just doesn’t understand fashion.

St Valentine

February 14, 2012

This Valentine’s day I got a substantial Valentine’s haul from my office colleagues: 12 cards, 4 chocolates and 3 stickers followed by a special Valentine’s dinner at home with Mum and Rafa.  Unfortunately Papi wasn’t with us since he’s travelling for work this week.  We all miss him so after bath time we made this message for him:

Happy Valentine’s Day Papi.  We hope you found your Valentine’s chocolates hidden in your suitcase!  With Love from Mum, Ana and Rafa.

The day after

February 11, 2012

Late last night when Mum and Papi picked me up from the office party I was still running around with the big kids.  Mum said after such a late night I needed a good afternoon nap today but whilst everyone else was asleep I decided to forgo it and rearrange everything in Rafa’s room instead (which was a waste of time because Mum doesn’t like the new arrangement).

Then it appears that Mum was actually right about me needing sleep.

Purple for day one

January 11, 2012

It was my first day at my new office today and I wanted to make a good impression on my new colleagues so I specifically chose my purple outfit with my Dora light up shoes.

Showing Mum the outfit I decided to wear on my first day at the office before we headed off.

Complete with a purple Dora hair tie (I had to get some help with getting this in!)

Lucy’s identity crisis

December 28, 2011

Lucy went to the office all fine this morning, but came home like this…

dressed in a bunny suit!

She still gives good cuddles as a rabbit.

Mum rushing to my rescue

November 2, 2011

Mum got a call today to say that Occupy Portland was getting violent and only a few blocks away from my office so Mum ran (which apparently isn’t so easy now that my baby brother is minus 11 weeks) to pick me up early.  Fortunately all we could see were some flashing police lights and media helicopters.  So we walked home (very) slowly and went to the supermarket.  Mum bought all the ingredients to make one of my favourite dinners, spaghetti bolognese, chock full of tomatoes, carrots, mushies and zucchini.

I thought being home early might mean Lucy and I could watch some Dora, but no, Mum's sticking to her "no Dora during the week" policy. She's so stubborn!

In much happier Portland news, Jerry from Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream said he’s thinking about naming an ice cream after Portland.  The KGW TV facebook page has some of the suggestions people have come up with!
