How to swaddle a baby

January 31, 2012

Here I give a step by step tutorial on how to swaddle a baby.

Time with Rafa

January 30, 2012

When I get home from the office I like to lie down with Rafa and have a chat.

I teach him songs and dances that I learnt at the office.

and tell him jokes. I don't know if he gets them, but he laughs anyway!

It's one of the nicest moments of my day.

I love you Rafa!

Sunday swimming

January 29, 2012

At first I was a bit overwhelmed by the size of the pool and a bit grumpy about having to take off my Dora shoes.

But I was quite taken by my new swim shorts and yellow swim top (the long sleeved top is one I used in Brisbane).

Then into the water. I wondered how I was going to clean up all this water with one little blue sponge.

Once the class started Mum and Rafa had to go up into the stands with the other spectators so in all the other pictures of the class I'm tiny!

The class didn't feel like a tiny achievement though. What a great class! I can't wait for next week.

Food envy

Mmmmm, this fruit is dee-lish-us!

Hey, Papi got a croissant. No one told me that was an option.

Who said a 6 day old baby isn’t good at playing games?

Rafa can play peek-a-boo and hide and go seek already!

I have so much to teach Mum.

Mum can borrow my bag for Rafa if she wants to.

Copy cat

January 25, 2012

My brother has turned out to be such a copy cat already.  He liked my ‘Big Sis’ shirt so much look what he went out and got…

All aboard

January 24, 2012

We all got squeezed into Mum’s car this morning to go off to our various appointments.  It took us a long time to get ready.  Including me getting re-dressed because I was helping Mum change Rafa’s diaper and quite unexpectedly we both got wet!

It's my job to keep an eye on Rafa since his seat is rear facing and I'm allowed to sit the grown up way.

Coming home

January 23, 2012

Papi and I wore special shirts to pick Rafa and Mum up from the hospital. Papi's says "Vamos Rafa" and mine says "Big Sis"

It was a long wait so I put Lucy in Rafa's crib to keep him company. Lucy is just on loan, of course.

Rafa proudly wore his Stars and Stripes hat and cardy and was wrapped in an NZ wool blanket all knitted by Abuela.

Meeting Rafa

January 22, 2012

I introduced myself.

And gave him some cuddles. I had to be very gentle.

He liked my kisses! I think we're going to get on very well.
