The new bedding has arrived

Thanks to everyone who helped with the decision making process for Mum and Papi’s new bedding.  Whilst you guys obviously didn’t think much of my choice, when it came to a clear winner, you couldn’t agree.  Of the 25 votes cast over the six options, the top three all received 6 thumbs up each.  The fourth place trailed only by one vote.  So we had to just choose one ourselves.

We ended up going with the Marrakesh.

We all love the pattern and rich colour.

And it’s super duper comfy. But can you spot a problem here?

Mum thought at $43 for the pillow cases there would be TWO per pack.  She was wrong.  We need to order another pack!

 

 

The Italian Maid

Our community cafe (unofficially) reopened this week. It’s now The Italian Maid and has new, bright red booth seats.

I thought the spaghetti was delicious.

And Rafa wasn’t sharing his!

The kite festival

Hermann park held its first ever kite festival today.

With our butterfly kite ready to go we headed there for a day of fun.

It took a few attempts, but once we got her going she was away.

Flying up to the tops of the trees

And alongside a monarch.

Papi taught us all how to fly her.

It’s just like this.

We also got to see some other pretty amazing kites.

Play in a twig house (I wonder if the big bad wolf could blow this down!)

Meet some pretty interesting people (she wanted to swap shoes!  Crazy lady!)

Friday night races

Jake and Izzy were car racing tonight.

Jake won. I regret eating Izzy’s wheels first otherwise she may have had a chance.

You may remember our guitar was involved in an incident last week.

Time to clean up.  We are all lending a hand.

I chose to do the dishes.

Whilst Rafa did the vacuuming.

I wanted to do the spraying.

Princesses and ponies

Today I had my friend Olivia over to play.  We dressed up in my finest princess clothes.  She particularly liked the Belle dress.

And she brought over her Rainbow Dash pony to play with which I thought was really cool.  I wish I could have a Rainbow Dash pony.

Kayak day at the lake

Folks around here like to kayak at the Cross Creek Ranch lakes so a kayak company brought a huge range of boats down so we could take a spin.

We took a picnic and watched all the fun.

Mum really wanted to try the stand up paddle boarding but she was not convinced she could keep us both balanced at each end.

That’s not to say we didn’t had a fun time and we sure did get hot running up and down the hill in the humid weather.
